Pottery Piece - ID Help

Attached are some photos of a pottery shard I found in the woods behind our house. I had suspected for awhile that the woods were a dumping ground for the old farm house as I found lots of oyster shells.

Any help in identifying what time period this might be from? Thanks for the help

if i was to guess id say it kinda looks like it might have been a spitoon from the mid 1800s...its just a guess.....the inside of that shard shows the age better than the outside.....
