I was asked to lend my box plate dug in 2002 to a Civil War Memorial Day event at a historic cemetery in Brooklyn. Here is a link to the Blog article written by the cemetery's historian. Enjoy! PW

at that plate when I first met you. We were at an organized hunt in Fredericksburg, I was about to go get something to eat and I hate to eat alone. I walked down the row of motel rooms, Paul was in his room with the door open and fondling that plate. I says hey what you looking at ? He says a plate, got some guys name on it. We went to eat together and became very good friends that day. Since then Paul and I (and many others) have shared many a mile and many a smile pursuing our shared hobbies, relic hunting and fishing. I rececntly traveled to West VA and relic hunted with Paul there, we dug a good mess of bullets and I even got one I did not have before, a scarce Linder carbine bullet. Paul is a great relic hunter and one of those people I am proud to call friend.

Thats a great story about the plate and a great wat to honor the man who carried it, fighting for his country and a long ways from home.
