Post for Vernon: :usaflag: Here are few pictures of Lee's latest sculpture...

For those of you who don't know, Leanna is my 14 year old daughter who started doing art work of this caliber when she was 13. This is a collie Lee is doing for herself, to enter in an art show next month.... of course the sculpture will be for sale as well and there is already someone very interested in it. This is her biggest sculpture yet. The collie is 16" long from tail to foot; 7" high, with 8 lbs of clay, displacing 3.9 square feet of dinner table space. Lee will airbrush the Collie tomorrow. I have ordered a fine base to be built for it from my carpenter friend. I will post the finished piece when it's done in a few more days.

Last year, she won the art show in the under 18 category with a first place check for $50, plus sold her sculpted horse head to a rancher at the show. Since then, she has done one commissioned sculpture after another of dogs and horses for people. She has more money socked away right now than I ever had at one time until I reached the age of 28!

I only wish the pictures could be bigger. Even when you click on them, to make them larger, they're only half size compared to the size of the screen. If it would do any good, I think we should speak to the warden about being on half rations right after the noon floggings tomorrow of the general population.

Here's a photo of my Sheltie, your sculpture looks much like my Maxie!
