Possibility Leak location to check for......

I want to go water, so before I do I double check connections... I found that the headphone jack going into the detector turns inside the detector.......... It is either lose or there is no stop to hold it in place? (Not speaking of the headphone jack) It's on the detector side, check yours out and let me know if thats normal or not?

KCK/ Ohio

Its not normal...but I can tell you that i had the same problem on my first ATP. My second ATP did not show any sign of this but water still got in there somehow.

Hey Jamie..(Kellyco Chic) did you read this link? What do you think I should do? I don't know if I should dunk it or not? See if you can find out what Garrett says we should do? I can dunk it or not if they want to see it first? Maybe they have seen enough for a fix?

I've had my AT Pro about 3 weeks, I have not used it in water due to all the reports of leaks on Finds Forum. I have used it on land. Very nice! After reading all the posts and speaking with Jamie (Kellyco Chic) on the forum I have decided to contact your company. Upon a close inspection of the headphone connector (female Jack)on the detector was found to be lose ( I think unless this normal). I'm afraid to dumk it in water? What options do I have with this detector?

Daniel:
Thank KCK, I am checking our AT Pro to see if that is the case. Hold one moment please
KCK:
okay
Daniel:
I have look at it and ask another one of my sales rep. It will be a little lose. There a water seal ( o-rings ) that will be seal tight for this not to leak. Garrett has correct the leak issue, but it did not have to do with what you are concern about. It was the display box
KCK:
Okay thanks I'll send it in the water and see what I can find...Thanks

Sorry for the delay guys! Been off for a couple days with a family situation. I'm checking to find out what we are telling people just to be sure. Looks like you talked to Daniel. But I'm double checking for you!
