Got up early, as I was wakened by lightning, rain and thunder. The radar map showed the weather system was local, and where I wanted to go was clear. So I packed both detectors, the ATX and the AT Pro, and used them both. The AT Pro got the ring.

Below is a pic of the ring. and the silver chain, weighing in at 17.7 grams.

Nice silver chain find.:clapping:

Nice hunt John! Question: Do you use both the AT Pro and ATX to cover the same areas? I don't mean one in each hand! I mean do you first go over an area with the Pro and then over the same area with the ATX to see what you may have missed?

Those stainless steel rings are loud and clear on the At/Pro. I still get excited finding any rings myself. Nice find on the silver chain, looks like a recent drop.

No.....the lakes which have hardly any signals really come to life using the ATX. It gets targets missed and or too deep from other water hunters. Lakes with plenty of signals get hunted with my AT Series. Usually in the fall, I just use the ATX i in the water. I have been using dual machines for many many years. GTI large coil/Ace 250 sniper coil, ATPro Large Concentric Coil.AT Gold 5 x 8 coil and AT Pro/ATX Coil. A lot of people don't utilize there equipment to their maximum potential. Switching to a smaller or larger coil is like getting a new detector without the cost.

Thanks Scott......I should have hunted with you and Marten the day before. Oh well........both were great hunts.
