Poor man's macro

This is my first picture so I'm sure I will refine it better next time. I took a lens from my 8x17x50mm binoculars and put on the front of my camera. Had to hold it with my fingers but it fit in rather good. Just need a ring that screws on to hold it. Results are better than my regular macro. At the bottom of the dime I was to close so distance has to be just righ. Will try some insect today.

Man that was some good wit to do such a thing, great pic too. You may be able to sell that. turn your binoculars into a digital macro camera, man that would be a treat.. What do you think?

This guy has some GREAT macro shots he took with a two meg camera and a home made macro lens. This site shows the instructions for making the lens
