Poor gas mileage this morning!:garrett:

I had all intentions of doing some woods digging this morning in hopes of getting a little more protection from a gusty and nasty north wind. Swinging my way across a corner of a field I got a faint hit with numbers in the low 70's, so stopped to investigate. It turned out to be a small mini ball. As fate would have it, I never made it into the woods. Hence, got pretty bad mileage bucking the wind in the wide open spaces. Just enough targets in that area of the field to keep me interested and as a result did manage 1 silver coin, a 24 Mercury and 2 wheat backs, a 25 and a 40. One other interesting piece was the folded up (when dug) "special security" piece with the name Willie B Jones on it. If I keep at this long enough, maybe I'll have a 2 silver outing one of these days. I am getting 1 silvered to death, it seems. HH jim tn

Poor You! :nopity: I wonder who "Willie B Jones" was?

Hey! Now it all makes sense! Its sort of apropo!...I'm gonna add that phrase to my repertiore as a fixture of my metal detecting lexicon! As in:

"I'm a gettin' the willie-be-jones to swang some coil!"...

we do have our own little language you know, that only we understand...who else but a detectorist would understand the excitement of "nailing a indian fatty or stabbing a walker in the park?"...

Jim you're doing great! You always find neat stuff. It was a little too cold for me today. Besides I had guy who wanted to take a look at my boat that I have for sale.

I knew that you'd be out there swinging away.:detecting:

Nice hunt, I'll wear my waders to the beach with no intention of going in the water, they're just great at stopping the wind, I'm gonna be surprised if there isn't a three silver coming up soon. Artie
