poor finds from a poor people

I found some rug pulls. like the aluminum Ring on the right, when i found it i was all exited - finally a silver ring , Then i felt how light it was and the rug got pulled out from under me and i fell on my but, second find is the small chain & Pendant i figured it was gold then i took the magnifying glass to it and out came the rug drum under me again. I am probably most happy with the old Peters shell circa 20,30,s REPEETER the Tejon hit that about 8 to 9 inches down in disc. sometimes I wonder if the Tejon is working as i don't find a lot of deep things. but when i do come across something deep it hits it Good so that was one good thing - but i am amazed at how poor folks are around hear . thy can only afford aluminum rings and junk jewelry. now that is poor one thing i have to keep reminding myself is this is not miami beach its the impoverished midwest whose jobs have been shipped over seas. a people who are happy to have a bubble gum machine ring and can not afford one made by the jeweler.

You had an excellent day despite how you feel about your finds. You could always be working on the job with me instead of being out digging into mother Earth Naaa you do not want to do that. Keep hunting mother Earth and whatever it decides to cough up next, it is still a good day .... unless you are being attacked by a crow. How is that crow Gunnar? He still pestering your metal detector or has he flown off to join his other fine feathered friends?

Same way around here in the east! I seem to only find junk jewelry but I just got use to it being that way. I am lucky to find some nice old coins but the jewelry that they seemed to wear is all low quality non precious metals. I think it might be because mostly they were poor. I find so many pennies compared to nickles and dimes also but every now and then come up with a silver coin. You still got to be happy with your finds though cause it was still something that someone lost during history. I am sure they didn't want to lose it regardless.

I recently cought a gopher , and put it out for the pet crow . He had that gopher skinned and eaten within several hours. he has been hanging around the wild crows and the have been teaching him how and what to eat , I was teaching him how to dig nails. he now hangs around his crow buddys all day and once in a wile stopes by and i give him some food . yep I am glade at least i can get out not may can . and the work place nowadays is more like jail or slave labor . they run the work of three people on you . you have to bring a note from the doctor if you get sick .( Like you are just some immature kid. not realizing that every day you miss work is punishment enough. as you loose money . ) if you happen to be late for any reason you lose a point , and when the points ad up to 6 you get fired. one bathroom for 200 employees. a crammed break room artificial light . lots of noise 10 and 12 hour days I think somehow we are like the jews in egypt under the power of the task masters. we do not own our land we rent it 5000.00 a year property tax in 10 years thats 50.000.00 a new car for sure no wonder people drive around in cars with the wheels falling off well i have said to much

My few jewelry finds have either been junk kids rings or a couple that were gold plated. What gets me is for as long as I've been detecting I haven't found any silver jewelry, guess the girls just don't wear any down here.

I found a gold plated pendant a week ago . I found it in an area where I dug a silver bracelet a couple of seasons past so I was real excited until "the rug pull ' .

I have come to especially hate that gold plated zinc alloy looking stuff. I have a pile of it from this year. Worthless metal is no fun.
