Just got my new 5.75" concentric coil in. I paid for a lower pole but Ron forgot to put it in the box. Don't know what to do.
Anyway, I mounted the 5.75 on my Euro Sabre and headed to the swimming pool where I found a diamond ring.
I hunted for a few hours and found 35 coins, a junk ring, two ear rings, a swimmer's pendant and a piece of what looks like gold jewelry. It was broken and bent. When I tried to straiten it out, it broke again.
When I was about to leave a guy, that I met previously, showed up with a Whites MXT and a 4" coil.
We detected togather for about 30 minutes with no frequency interaction between our MDs.
I got a signal and ask him to check it. I said I was getting a penny. He checked it and looked at me kind of funny and said it showed to be a penny. I dug a penny.
I got another signal and asked him to check and see if it showed to be a nickel. He checked it and looked at me funny and said it showed to be a nickel. I dug a nickel.
He asked how I knew that was a nickel without a display. I told him that a uMax detector has a great nickel sound.
A little later he got a signal and asked me to check it. I checked it and told him it sounded like a pull tab. He said are you sure it's not a diamond ring. I told him I wasn't sure but I thought it was a pull tab. He asked me if I dug pull tabs and I pulled out a pocket full. We laughed
He said there wasn't any old coins in the park. I said I wasn't looking for coins, I'm looking for gold. He said " you're not going to find any gold out here". I said I found a little. I don't know why, but I didn't tell him about the 14k gold diamond ring I found there 3 days ago. I guess I'm protecting my booty..........
Happy Hunting,
