Pond finds

CliffHanger

Some finds around the shores of a 9.5 acre public pond in Northern California. No wading is allowed so you can only get to the edge of the water. This is the lowest water level in many years. Along with many nickels, dimes and quarters hundreds of penny were found but only four (4) were wheaties! So far I've found over 50 lbs of sinkers (a coffee can hold about 40 lbs of lead sinkers) and many, many lures in different states of decay. Many reel parts and rod holders and the other items in the photos. I am surprised at not finding jewelry. I have spent many hours here and I find just about as much stuff now as when I started detecting the pond a few months ago. I'll send more photos in another post.

All the best

The water is usually at least half way up the dock.

The sign says it all and what a pity. A long time ago there were paddle boats for hire on this lake. I can imagine the lady daintily dangling her hand in the cool water as her beau peddles the paddles gently through the ducks and geese on a warm and lazy summers day.
She gasps -- "Oh dear.! That expensive diamond ring you gave me just fell from my finger into the water.!"
He reply's -- "Hope you can swim B#$%&...!!!"
