Polar Plot V Series

GBalance

New member
How does this feature work with deep objects 8 to 10 inches? Does this kind of analysis work well or is it like other descrimination tools, impacted by soil or depth?

Thanks

It is good down to 5" or 6", regarding straight lines (Mineralization I imagine would decrease that). Beyond that it is still useful as far as quadrants go. Non Ferrous targets are usually in the upper right quadrant and ferrous objects are almost always in the upper left quadrant. That said, I haven't used it in a while. The sound is quite informative and the pinpoint in 3 freq is my preferred analysis mode. It is fun to play around with PP though.

BTW - There is a ton of information here on Polar Plot if you do a search.

Enjoy,
EMS

Yeah, it is my favorite too. But, if I was hunting gold or the like, I would probably see what I can get from the polar plot. There is a very good German hunter here who uses it and is pretty good at ID'ing gold rings Vs. garbage (That have the same VDI of course). It is a VERY SUBTLE thing though.
