Pointers and suggestions for running the MXT

Recently became the owner of a nice MXT. Most of my recent experience MDing has been with the MX5 and xTerra 705. Trying to get up and running on the MXT. I am used to multi tone machines so I'm thinking maybe relic is the best mode to run in. Soil here in Charleston SC moderate. I do mostly coin but also hit the local beaches from time to time. Any suggetions or pointers from those of you experinced MXT users is welcomed. I have the stock coil, the 9.5 spider coil from my MX5, the 4x6 shooter coil and the 5x10 SEF WSS coils.

When I use the:whites: MXT it's in relic mode with trigger forward usually give two tones

Thanks Joel, that's what I am going to start out with. The VDI for coins should still the same as c & j mode.

Good luck with detecting. I too use the relic mode with trigger forward about 95% of the time. The only time I don't use it is when I'm in a playground. Then I use coin/jewelry with discrimination set at 2. HH, Nancy

Get your self a Rusty Nail and set your DISC to about 2.8 to 2.9 or at just where the nail makes A Low Tone and your good to go, in the Relic Mode, and run with the trigger in the Middle Position It has A slower SAT Speed and you can Run The Gain Higher Which Means More Depth. and you can use this set up for prospecting Too but Run Your DISC No Higher Than 2 or you will Loose Iron stained Gold, Ok.

Good Luck, HH
