Pocket watch case, ring, buffalo, five wheat's and lots of fun.

It was 2 deg.c with flurries. Still a very nice day. I went to a demo-ed house before it got demo-ed. It has a field stone with mortar foundation. Not much front yard, but I had fun in the side yard.

I had many targets that came up like this one. You can see the size of the hole. The wheat and the nail where sharing the same space. The cent signal came through.

I got six wheat's. The oldest is 1935.

Two ruff nickels. 1941 and a no date Buffalo.

My silver fix. It says sterling on the inside, but I sure wish the stone was still in it.

For weeks I have been finding the insides, but today I found the case to a pocket watch. It is an Ingram from Connecticut. It is heavy and I think brass. I also found my first sex token. The back side is not appropriate for viewing and it is headed for the trash. I found a spoon and lots of brass, copper and other pieces of recyclables that are not shown.

Great loot! I found two buffalos in one day early this year. None since. I love the filagree ring!

Keep the token! Put it in a 2x2 and block out the offensive side.

[quote Mick in Dubbo]I'd be cheering if I found such great targets John in one hunt. Very nice.

I would be cheering if I found the money you find. If I was there, I would probability be in the gold fields. Do you ever MD in the gold fields?

John WTG, some nice finds ya be making.. I know it takes a little from your hunting however you may want to carry a small strainer, say a 3 to 6" one and when ya find a nice GOLD or SILVER ring missing the stones take a few and sfit the dirt.

Works some times and could be worth while if its a nice GOLD one fer sure.

[quote Uncle Willy]You're getting quite a collection of wheats. Can you make a whole watch now? :)

I was counting them last week. How about amost a 150 wheat's for the year.

I really like that old ring John. It looks like a really old setting. I'd take it to a jeweler and see how old it is.
