Pocket Knife GTP1350

:usaflag:I've found three...sure wish I could open one of them. Nice find !!

Almost looks like it was smoked like a sausage..
But hey, you can still wonder who and when it was lost.
Looks like a few moons ago.
I found a hunting knife one time when I was looking for survey pins
on some property. Lots of hunters prowl the area during hunting
season and I think they dropped it while walking on the side of the road.
The one I found was in fairly decent shape, and I still use it. It's one of
those folding black handled hunting jobs.
I think I've found a couple of others that were pretty much toast..

Charles Garrett mentioned in one of his books finding a large hunting knife stuck into the trunk of a tree or a stump. No telling how long it had been there when he found it. I saw one of those Barlow knives for sale in some catalog a few years ago, but it was made overseas, probably in china. The proudest day of my life when I was a little boy was earning enough money to buy my first knife and it was a Barlow. I believe it was one dollar and 3 cents tax.

Cool find!:thumbup:I've found a few of those while metal detecting over the years!:detecting:I've lost a few of those while metal detecting over the years, too!:rofl:Happy Hunting!:)
