Plymouth MA beaches

Just curious if anyone has had any luck/trouble detecting on the water front near the plymouth rock. I am going to plymouth tomorrow with a buddy to try and get him into the hobby. I just picked up a used beach hunter ID I wanna try out too. From the looks of it its been used 5 times or less. It has 10" Black coil not a scratch on it..black seal.

I am actually going to two beaches tomorrow. Nantasket in AM and then down to plymouth. Just wondering if anyone has done anything in plymouth. By plymouth rock...I mean just along that beach...not ten feet from the pebble thats left of the rock. ROFL.

I am from Florida and detected Plymouth beach after a Northeaster with little luck. That was in the winter. Plymouth Beach is really about a half mile away from the rock on 3a. Since I wasn't there in the summer it is hard to gauge how good it really is. I would also consider Duxbury Beach . The locals refer to Duxbury as Deluxebury because of the upscale neighborhood.

From what ive heard get that black seal off and an orange one on ASAP as they leak

Okay. So I tested the machine in nantasket beach today...hull ma. Few quarters, one deep and a few pennies. Pennies were deep too. Its all metal mode works good...led lights accurate 85% of time. It works in other words. It does have black seal and I wanted to test it this afternoon in a freshwater lake. I was thinking of using gasket material...but I will opt outa that and get an orange seal before I dunk it for sure.

Main problem....and I don't trash talk other detectors either....But what in the heck were they thinkin with the floating coil... Makes no sense. I might see about the 12 inch coil bein installed on it...not sure though. Anway..wish me luck in plymouth....its either walk the beach or freshwater pond...not sure yet...we see how dice fall.
