I got an IDX Pro late last fall and only got a chance to use it a couple of times before winter came in NE Ohio. I have two sets of phones, Ratphones and Timberwolfs. The Timberwolfs are my back up phones and I have not used them since the cord and plug were replaced under warranty a couple of years back. The first thing I noticed when I first tried the detector was how tight the Timberwolfs angled plug went in. It was extremely tight, but it did work perfectly once in. Yesterday I tried the Ratphones and though still tight, they were not nearly as tight going in as the Timberwolfs. They are both 1/4 plugs and the entire cord and plug on the Timberwolfs are brand new. Do I need a new a new headphone Jack? Do you guys think I could damage the jack by using the tight plug on the Timberwolfs? I have a spare cord for the Ratphones and they also unplug at the ear piece so I though I would just leave one cord permanently plugged into the detector. Any advice is appreciated. R.L.
