Hey all you digital camera users!
I have a Canon A80 coming sometime in the first week of February.
I borrowed one program but I can't even get it to do anything more than import a picture. It's for "pros" and is WAAAAYYYY over MY head right now (Photoshop 7). And looking on the internet I think that Photoshop Elements 2 may still be too much to start with also.
I've handy with a 35mm SLR but will be TOTALLY new to digital photo work. I think I need something that will help a beginner understand what the heck's being said and done as I go along but also allow me to LEARN "why" I'm doing something!
Please don't ARGUE with each other...just let me know what you like and why!
THANKS!!!

I use elements and find that it is easy to use.
It will do as much as you need and probably more.
The price is reasonable and you can grow into it.

.... Try these two web sites:
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopel/main.html
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product_listing.gsp?cat=4451&path=0%3A5426%3A125363
The first one is Adobe's Photoshop LE web site and the second is Walmart's online store where they have the PC version for $58.62!
Good Luck

Hi Art:
Please read and critique my "How To" post. I wrote it to help folks like you, and I need to know if it works for you. Is it too technical, to wordy, would you like to see more examples? Tell me what you think, I can take it
Thanks

A little bit expensive, but it does everything. 100s of books available to teach you how to use it.
