Love my Deus but need more practice in bad iron, have a great test site next week to put it through the paces, in the past I have been an open woods hunter,

Well real simple

Try reactivity levels 2-4---silencer -1 12 or 18khz

Sweep speed more critical

Iron vol off

Sens between 80-94

disc setting----depending on size of iron, try 5.5 to 6.4.

2 tone---set nonferrous tone pretty high in freq to differentiate

TID meter---you will see some good nonferrous targets come through tone wise--TID may read below disc setting like 4 ---so beware

On some blips of tone--consider changing reactivity setting to faster and maybe go to 18khz---signal may indeed improve

In the worst of nails/iron-----consider sweeping and resweeping with varying coil speed before advancing coil

Manual GB of 86 seems to work in the worst of nails/iron

Also, keep TX at 1 so you can clearly pick out those good tones between/next to the iron.
