When the GT rechargeable battery goes too weak to work properly either the threshold will spike up and/or will sound like a siren. This has been happening to me lately even after an overnight charge session. Thanks for your time. HH. Matt

Matt check your coil wire wiggle it and see if the problem is in there starting at the coil once i did not leave enough slack for the coil to move and i had the same symptoms to much stress on the wire at the connector and if you use a coil cover take a look inside , although i have had the GT sound off like a siren when the battery got low . When the battery get too weak the low battery alert will sound which is a high tone spike which is different then anything you have heard before. This will start out with the first spike and the longer you use it the more often it will happen until it goes to one long high tone spike and turning the threshold control makes no difference. The first time it does it and when it go to the last high tone spike is usually less then 4 or 5 minutes.
If this is what is happening you may have a bad charger if you leave the pack on over night and it does this within a short time of your hunt. If you get a hour or 2 and then does it I feel you have a bad battery in the factory rechargeable back and the pack has to be replaced.
