I believe this is my 1st Civil War button. Stamped on the back is: (EXTRA QUALITY)
I found it in a park in Staunton VA which was a major Railroad town during the Civil War. at least 3 battles were fought near Staunton and thousands of Confederate and Union troops passed through Staunton.
