I found this coin at about 12 inches. I have been trying to positively identify this coin but it is pretty worn. It is a small coin, about 2/3 the size of a dime.
I think it is a half reale. I am guessing the date at 1815. The coin is very worn. What is troubling is that the bottom of the bust on the obverse side of the coin does not match anything I have found on the internet. I figure with all you pros out there, someone may have gotton one of these. Also, any sites or books you might recommend will be appreciated. Happy Hunting... Al (Explorer II)

Armoured Bust design

Jazz, This is as close as I could get. Yours looks to have the armoured bust. I would guess 1/2 reale also.
Excelent Find:clapping:Congrats
