I understand the reasons why and fully agree, I do think there is a difference in helping out our members with mentioning something like a screen protector mfg.; So someone can protector there CTX is a far cry from promoting a competing company. That fact is some items like a stereo adaptor, screen protectors or printing services are items our sponsors do not sell nor provide. I think all members should get 1 warning before being banned. This is just my thoughts hope it was not over stepping.

I agree... I'm sure this is a spirit of the law or letter of the law item... If it does not compete with an advertiser or a link that you personally profit from... What is the issue with saying "this specific screen protector or adapter worked for me" ?? I get the spirit of the law (Rule).... but the letter of the law will ban everything without warning :-(

How is it that you are posting here if you are banned?????

I got perm banned last week without warning for accidently posting a product link to amazon.com for a set of rechargeable batteries for the CTX.

You ain't kiddin, they really do ban...


Guess I'll be banned again for saying that I got banned... Oh well...

It is pretty obvious that we let the screen protectors, adaptors and petty stuff slide by. Admin has been banning "trouble makers" as well.

I was never a trouble maker... I got banned without warning for posting a link to batteries on amazon.

I had around 100 posts on my other nick.

In one case that comes to mind over after market screen protectors for Minelabs, is the grief we received here from one of the protector manufacturer's. He caused so much trouble here, we banned screen protectors that are not being sold by Finds Sponsors.
