Heck some of us hunt in older areas, different mineralization, so indeed no secret Explorer settings to improve our hunts, just ones that work for us in our area.Fortunately an Explorer gives us the ability to change our setting to do well in our area.So do experiment and above all don't look for that super duper setting as it may not work well in your neck of the woods..

Many people are looking for the super settings to use on thier Explorers and try to copy others on this fourm only to find out it will not work. This is why there is the quick start mode to learn the Explorer with that will work in most areas and do very well and some never need to change. Once you know your Explorer and what the controls all do you can make the programs that will work the best for you and your area. I feel this is why Minelab recomends you run in the quick start mode if you are new to the Explorer untill you have learned it and what the controls will do.
Good Post Dan and one That should have been put up often.
