Unfortunately yesterday and today are all tied up and going into the field is not possible so I did the next best thing...
I did learn F-7 freq. worked best and I manually ground balanced in all metal(neutral) and then put in discrimination and was quite an improvement from the fastgrab. Seems like modes are intertwined and knowing the importance of a accurate manual ground balance will be my choice for more depth and stability.
Actually I can see the T-2 is a user friendly unit to set up and change facets, but going to take some learning time to see what works best for my area. Heck only 6 tones and an all metal to start with. I think once I learn what works best for my area the goodies will start coming. I realize lots of this has been perhaps hashed over before but maybe we can all learn something along the way.
I want to caution what works in my neck of the woods may not in your area so take that into consideration.
Hopefully tomorrow I will get out in the field( if it don't rain) and do some more experimenting. Input appreciated and as they say Rome wasn't built in a day..and no perfect detector...or for that matter no perfect detectorist...
