Playin' footsie in the surf....

Well, I set my alarm for 3am on monday the 9th in anticipation of the mother lode that the surf had in store for me. Arrived at the lane at 430am and was hunting into a 531am -1.0L, it was around 60 and water temp was about the same. There were quite a few coins showing and I was encouraged. The winds were strong out of the ssw 15-20mph and the surf was pounding. Tide was reasonably low and a little crushed shell was peering out of the waters edge. Ended up with $3.19 in clad, 1 wide ferrous earring and a .925 quarter sized hoop. The chain was draped out of my scoop and looked "goldie", but I knew better than to get my hopes up, it's ferrous and had little sandal pewter charms that were breaking off the chain. Gave up the hunt at 1130am goldless. There you go, "footsie in the surf".

I chunked the nut, cause I came back to the truck a couple of times. With that many coins can't help but think gold is lurking nearby.

I get that feeling sometimes about some places and you know what that there usually is some gold lurking nearby.Love that good feeling Nice Nut Gulf Hunter
