I am using my standard coil and having a hard time. I can't get with in two feet to the metal post, it picks up the metal structure. Would I have any better luck using the 6 inch coil? I have tried changing my sensitivity and still the same results any help would be appreciated.

I'm sure the 6" coil will help you get closer but I just set the Auto sensitivity to -3 instead of +3 for tot lots. I would give that a try before buying a new coil.

I have the same issue......chain links and steel poles tear mine up. I now have a 6" coil but have not had a chance to try it. I'll let you know how it works if it is any better. It's kinda funny, my CTX can handle tons of EMI and can't get close to steel and my F75 will locate right along the edge of sidewalks and swing legs, but, it goes crazy when a riding lawnmower goes by or if I go over some buried power. Guess you just can't have it all. I know they are two different beasts, single frequency, multi-frequency, etc. etc., but, still.........
