Platypus coil

Been using this on my GT for, I guess a couple of hundred hours now. I found the WOT to be too heavy as I don't hipmount. Just wondering if anyone else uses it for beachwork and what they think of it? I like the balance of it over the 10" Tornado, but think I prefer the tone on the Tornado.

I know of one person that swears by it. I have one and haven't used it at the beach yet but I'm going to give it a try next time out. I do very well with Sunray's 12.5" coil. The Sunray 12.5" coil is great for the coverage and it's a tad lighter than the stock coil of the Explorer. I like my WOT coil too but it's to heavy for me to be swinging it for 6 to 7 hours at a time.
