platypus coil

I strickly use the platypus coil. My first opinion of this coil was i hated it. After a few times out with it, i was going to get rid of it. After a couple weeks, i finally started getting a few deeper coins, Now i love it. It definitely locks onto coins better than the stock coil.

They are very popular over here in the UK .

They are very sensative and complement the Explorer range.:clap:Jerry.

I have the joey coil and love it in trash areas. You can swing it all day with no problem and not lose any depth that I can tell.

Since you haven't gotten many comments, I am using one on my Quattro and it is very sensitive and seems to have good depth so I wouldn't be afraid to use one on my Explorer also. God Bless and I think you will like it.

I have recently purchased a Platypus coil for my XS and EX2. I have checked it against the two 10.5" coils on both of my machines and in my opinion the Platypus offers a little extra depth, than the original Minelab 10.5" coils, the signal sounds sharper, noticeably slightly more so on the Explorer II, better separation of targets amongst trash.
The weight of the Platypus is not significantly different than the Minelab coils but it does seem better balanced.
Aesthetically, a pity the colour doesn't match, it clashes a little adding a third colour on the EX2, but not too bad on the XS as a second colour, but what the hell! it's the results that matter and for that I highly recommend the Platypus.
