Platinum

I didn't know where I wanted to detect today because it was windy and my hunting partner couldn't go... I decided to hit a beach I have never been to... My first signal was a very soft whisper I scooped once and the whisper got a little louder and then took 2 more scoops and it was even louder... On the 6th scoop I saw something shiny and figured it was either stainless or my first platinum ring and that's what it was :)

Its a heavy ring and has 1 small diamond in it... Its going to the jewelry store tomorrow so I can have it buffed up for myself :)

I have been water hunting with my PI PRO for 19 months and I never expected to find a platinum ring :)

WoW! Lucky Craig awesome RING !!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!
Still waiting for my PL ring :goodnight:

Alex

Fact of the matter is you probably would not have gotten it with anything but a PI. NICE FIND Craig! I'm next!

Platinum can be polished but it is very expensive to do and when polishing it what is happening is a very thin layer of platinum is being removed... I haven't decided if I will have it polished yet but I will tell you after being to the jeweler yesterday it would be worth it.

I'm giving this ring to my sister as I showed it to her and she loved it :)

big as that nice ticket is and the strong signal from platinum.................maybe ace 250 would have found it......even Viper

:crazy::crazy:

i have never found a platinum, so maybe i better buy me another PI tooooo:ninja: - :ninja: - :).............i am very close to it ...............this maybe just the find i need to take that plunge again.

what do u think GH

:)

Give it a try again Max. Just be selective about what you dig and hunt in the mine. It's not that bad in most surf areas here, but I have seen an enormous amount of wire in ya'll's PI nuts there. It just gives you an alternate, when the Excal/SOV gets quiet. The immediate alternative, would be to hunt in pinpoint. Excal has excellent abilities in pinpoint to tell when a target is elongated. You been doing this a lot longer than me, so you gotta decide if yer back can handle the holes, that you know are coming. There is bound to be platinum somewhere in VA beach huh?

they do give out a real nice signal

low tide tim has found 1 or maybe 2 for people who have lost them in the dry sand and nice rewards.............he told me they really sound off good.

Max

I found it in the wet sand because it was too windy to venture in the water :)

You confuse me... I thought you said a viper couldn't see a volkswagen under a wet rug lol... :bouncy:
