Platinum?

I have both a MXT Pro and a MX5. I have found gold and silver rings, but never a platinum. I was just wondering what VDI numbers a platinum ring would show up as. Would it be similar to a gold ring? Just curious to know. Thanks

Hi Jef,

I would think it would be under the gold VDIs. But honestly, I really don't know. Good question. HH, Nancy

Can't say I've ever found a platinum ring, but I referenced a water hunting video I have by Tom Dankowski. You are correct, platinum is very similar to gold and falls into the foil, nickel, Pulltab segments of the conductivity scale depending on the size of the ring. A super sized ring could make it up into the higher end of the scale.
