Platinum Ring

Helping to search for a lost, rather expensive platinum engagement ring.
Does anyone know where on the explorer SE screen a platinum ring will hit? or there about. Or high or low tone.
Cheers Peter

Platinum rings will put the cursor cross hair just above foil maybe 1/16 to 1/8 inch. Below nickel and pull tabs but above foil. It can vary of course depending on the size and weight but I'd say for a womans ring it will be in this zone. Foil will put the cross hair right on the bottom of the screen with half the cursor off the bottom. Location left to right might vary a bit but should be near foil. With ferrous tones, fast off, it will have a big FAT sweet tone and will seem wide as you swing over it. A plat ring has a pretty unique tone and shape to it, very distinctive. With an Excalibur or Sovereign you can literally call your shot on platinum before you dig the tone is that unique. Heck yeah the platinum 'wahong' tone I likes me some platinum! Good luck!

Thanks Charles, you are correct did a test on another ring today. Still know luck finding lost ring, lost at the races last Saturday.
I think it's gone.
I see why now they say never X out pull taps. I have never come across Platinum before. Thanks again for the reply.

As I check both screens sometimes. Platinim comes up as 14-1 and 14-4 on the settings I use on my SE Pro.
