Platinum ring target ID numbers (FE-CO) numbers

Im sure this has been asked before but I am interested in Target ID numbers for Platinum rings. I have a ring recovery to do for someone in a large park. The ring was lost two years ago and it has a normal amount of junk and good targets. Any info to help me find it would be awesome. CODY

I've not come across one yet, but Andy's book says 12-02 in ideal conditions. Certainly can see a bounce in FE with depth, ground conditions etc...

I've not hunted for Platinum. I did a recovery for a Tungsten man's ring that had a Co of low 30's, if not 30. I think there's going to be a wide swing in Co numbers, depending on the size (man's or women's). If it is a recent drop, I'd try lowering the Sens. to around 7 and listen for the 3 or 4 hit on the coil and use a probe to quickly see if you've discovered the ring.

I was hoping they fell on the 12 line or close. That would mean that I wouldnt have missed any with my jewelry pattern. I have heard that they can fall as low as 01-04 to 04-08. Has anyone ever found any thing, junk or otherwise with numbers that low? I have never even had my pattern open in that area. Keep the Platinum info coming. Thanks for all your help. CODY

If the ring is thin or small the readings will be in the 12-2 to 12-5 range. Funny thing is that I usually pass on the 12-15 reading as it is usually a pull tab but occasionally will dig one to "keep me honest ".Well ,needless to say I found my largest plat. ring (18 grams) at a reading of 12-15 . You never know.
