Plastic Screen on Explorer

The screen protector should just peel off, it's held by a glue/tape use a razor blade and left the corner and it will peel off.

Dealers should, may have new ones. I've replaced them on my MXT . Dan

Be very careful in doing this, I have been told that all the little push pads on the plastic face are wired on the backside. The machine HAS to be taken apart to replace the face, and I heard the replacement face is roughly $325.00 .........NGE

The plastic membrane control panel is stick-on. The flat cable goes through the plastic control face plate and is hot glued into place on the backside. If you hold tight, I will do a how to on it maybe tomm. Minelab will not sell you the end user a replacement part. They will for roughly $135.00 replace it for you with the $35.00 part and $65.00 per hour labor and the rest is shipping. If it is still under warrantee, then you might get it fixed for free. If the area covering the LCD is scratched up you can CAREFULLY cut it out and glue a clear piece of plastic in place. I have done a couple so far. Hope this helps.......any questions just ask me.......don't have anything else to do........they done kicked me off the classifieds.

here is a couple of use-full pics of the panel........
