Plastic Head Cover

I got a plastic head cover with a minelab logo on it when i got my new Explorer last October. The problem is that it does not fit. I can not slide it over the head. It started to rain and i could not slide the head cover over the head of my machine. Has anyone else had a problem like this. Did they put the wrong head cover in my Explorer ?
Gare-oh

probably made a littl to small, they didnt have the covers when I got mine, so cant say if they run tight or not, but I got a Sunray cover which fits fine.. you should send your back for another one if you cant get it on

Gare-oh, I had the same thought when I got mine. Decided to put it on when I got the unit assembled the first time.
I was really upset when I couldn't get it on. But realized that it just had to fit. I took my time, and pulled it a little on each side till it finally got 3/4 of the way on. After that point, it slid easier and wound up with a "glove like" fit.
I did look at other covers. Sure they are ok, but the specs show a strap to hold it on. Also, the Minelab cover has a nice flap added to the cover by the handgrip. Found this keeps junk from getting under the cover.
My advise, keep trying, it will fit. And once it's on, no real reason to take it off other than a occasional cleaning. I think the cover is 1st rate and the side logos are cool.
Good luck.

hey jim i sent you a email to your web site are you gonna help me out an answer it ? Robert

It's a very tight fit the first time you put it on, but like Joe said it's a nice cover and after you've left it on for awhile it kinda stretches to shape and is easier to get on and off. Jerry

did I answer? what was it about? if I didnt answer you better resend it as I either loost it or never got it.. use the email address above, not my AOL one

Mine was the same way,,, very tight fit.. you just have to keep working it little by little and finally it will slip all around and fit perfect... I like it also...Frank

My Minelab cover was so tight it was ripping at one of the corners when I tried to force it on "gently". I finally returned it, got a refund and ordered one of the Sun Ray covers. They fit easily and do a good job.

You could try putting it in the sun for a while. It is a nice cover it just takes some time to get it on the first time.

Same thing happened to me. Heat it up with a hair dryer and it will slide on alot easier.

The cover that came with my explorer is real loose fit. And the only words on it are "made in china"
