Plantation Finds

Tony (NC)

New member
I'm working in VA this week so I came up early for a quick hunt with my Dad. We went back to the "Hunted out" plantation we have been working for the last 5 years and the place is showing some new life. Dad started things off with this "V" nickel

and this Mercury Dime

I got off to a slow start and thought I was going to get shut out when he popped out this stirrup

But I finally made a little comeback with this beat up reale. It's pretty worn out, but you can see the date 1780:super:

I finished the day off with a "V" nickel of my own an 1888

Not to shabby for 2 hours at a hunted out plantation!

I was using my XLT and Tony was using his Coin $. We both also have an ID Excel. This is a site we have pounded for years and it is still producing. We have some great finds from it. Tony predicted on the way to the site that he would find Spanish silver. We only got in about a 2hr hunt. The wind was around 30K. Frank

Thanks Mike, We need to come over and hunt with you from some of your post. You post some awesome finds. Tony predicted on the way to the site that he would find Spanish silver (not in the best shape but we will take it). Frank(VA) Tony's dad
