Planning a trip to California. ....

So I'm in the middle of planning a trip out to California to visit my brother in law and for him to show me SpaceX where he works.
I figured since I don't have any beaches by me like that, I'd take my relic along (actually mail it ahead).
Just curious if anyone from cali or even Florida can comment on this detectors abilities on the beaches on the ocean.
It's the only detector I have that has abilities to be ran on saltwater beaches.
I guess just asking for possible settings to try, do's and don't of beach hunting (never have) and any other relevant info I may need.
Thanks! !

Los Angeles.

I have friends that beach hunt daily that might have been able to help, but they are farther north in Santa Barbara. SpaceX has facilities at Vandenberg AFB. Have lots of fun on your trip !
