Places to Nugget Shoot in the Pacific NW?

Riggs04

New member
Hello,

I am used to detecting with my old Explorerer XS but found an Xterra 70 at the Pawn One for $199 and couldnt refuse. I am getting the 6" DD gold coil in hopes of doing a little nugget shooting. My question is where to go if I do not know anyone with a claim. I live in Spokane WA and have prospected around Murray ID (Eagle City) but that is about it. I hear Baker City Oregon is good for nuggets but would like to find a place that is open to metal detecting without a claim/permit or if i can get permission. Any help/advice would be great.

Also is the Xterra good in these NW ground conditions (hot rocks, iron etc)

Thanks

Riggs04,

I also live in Spokane and the only place that I have been is up by Murray ID also....Eagle City Park. In regards to the 70/705 in Spokane I have heard that it does great! I have one I picked up about a month ago but have not used it yet so I cannot give you a report. I do know that the owner of Bowen's Hideout (metal detecting store in Spokane) owns one and has great success. You could always drop him a line for info/advise. Please share if you find some places to nugget hunt....we plan on going back to Eagle Creek soon unless we find somewhere else to try.

Joshua

Send me an email turnmaster1@gmail.com or PM me.

Maybe we can get together for a cup of coffee or whatever. I have an area I was thinking of hitting this year. I am not sure Riggs has PM use yet.
