Was prepared all week to head to the old homestead I got permission to hunt a couple of weeks ago. And then Friday night, two of the three kids went down for the count with full blown head colds. I could have still gone, but with sick little ones they get a little "clingy" when their bodies don't feel good. "Daddy, can you stay home and play?" *cough* *COUGH* sniffle, sniffle.... OF COURSE!!!

The Blessing in all of it? I got to build a TON of lego ships, we all hung out in our PJ's and watched Toy Story 2....4 times (for real) and got to catch "Strawberry Shortcake, Jammin' with Cherry Jam" (You don't want to miss this one, I highly recommend it! Most of all, my kids needed me and they wanted me their for them. I know these times are precious and enjoying every second of it!

Although they were sick, I wouldn't have traded yesterday for a mason jar full of seated liberty dimes! Besides, the old homestead isn't going anywhere and I was Blessed to have had a great day with the family.

Nope, no flu Mike (Praise be to God!) Just really bad head colds which are still hanging around unfortunately. I should have put that in my post actually, thanks for the concern and have a Blessed day!
