A couple of local thieves stole 400 pounds of silver from their company and buried it in a field. They later forgot where they buried it, LOL, it just proves that there are no rocket scientists or geniuses in prison! The thugs "rented" a metal detector and later found and dug up their cache .... where the heck do you rent a metal detector? They sold their stolen silver to a local jeweler for $306,000 who later turned them in to police.
While I say "makes detectorists look bad", obviously it's not the practice of our members, and these guys obviously weren't "real" detectorists.
