Pitch settings on the CTX

For those who have been using the detector, I would like to know what pitch setting you are using for multi tone conductive. Both on the high side and low side. I am worried without a variatibility option, I might not get enough separation audibly between high tone targets. Also when I tested the demo the other day, it seemed the audio wasn't as "flute-y" compared to the etrac.

Everyone's ear and hearing are different. So far I haven't adjusted my audio, sounds good to me.

well you just change it to be the same as etrac somewhere on here someone asked for the correct hz and you can just move the bins where ever you want to its just MAGIC

Sugar - Yeah, that is what I am thinking. It is a more powerful system now because in a sense you can change the variability (in the form of pitch) on specific blocks in the audio menu. So, you can just get that silver area higher if you like. I actually disliked that a little on the E-Trac as everythings pitch was increased and now you can just get that silver sound and everything else can be the same. Make sense?

That said, I would like to know what tone and pitch in the silver range would equate to a 29-30 variability on the E-Trac in the silver range.

Nice topic,
Albert

You can't get the super High tone that I liked with the ET but it is only a matter of time and your ear adjusts accordingly. Being able to assign the tones and re-size is great but I do find myself using combined where as I used to always hunt in multi.

It looks like if you use the combined audio feature you will only be able to have one sound per block with adjustable pitch per each block.

Thanks Mark and Bill. Well, I'll try to adjust and hopefully it still gets high on those silver tones. The real difference is in the tone difference for me. If we can put a large difference between silver and the next high conductors that will have the same affect - drop you in your tracks to investigate! I'm sure Minelab wouldn't mind doing an online upgrade to give us that high variability on silver ;-)
