Pitch Hold.

Yesterday I went to the beach, but as soon as I started to search I noticed that the beach was really iron invested. I t was impossible to search in the AM mode so I had to use the Disc mode.

Because there was so much iron my Excall was nulling almost every 5 feet. After finding iron the threshold in the Excall comes back with low tone, but it was almost impossible to get back to the normal threshold.

Is there a way to get the normal threshold back faster besides moving your scoop over the coil ??

Yes glue a nickel or a small piece of aluminum to the front part of your boot. Then as you walk you can swing the coil by your boot

Im not a big fan of pitch hold unless you are out there hunting in the raw gold fields.

Remember that when hunting in AM that the nickle you glue on your boot will affect the AM mode. You'll hear the threshold raise ever so slightly on each sweep of the coil. Which in my opinion is a bad thing since lots of the good targets are nothing more than a slightly raised threshold!
Just like most manufactures recommend not having any coins in your pockets or even your belt on with larger coils.Keep this in mind also.
