pitch change

How does one change the audible pitch on a unit? is it a simple turn of a screw or part replacement? my friend has an identical unit to my Silver sabre plus, his has a screaming high pitch and mine is more low tone. very different. being hearing impaired to certain tones, i need to change mine up some, my mid range hearing is gone. i can hear his machine a lot better. we cant swap ----he has same problem!

Give Tesoro a call and they should help. In most cases depending on the unit it may be a trimmer adjustment but sorry to say Tesoro doesn't want untrained hands inside their units and may ask you to send in for audio changes and tuning.

Hear low tones better myself so understand your problem and not all Tesoro units are able to be changed relative to audio pitch.

I am going to guess that if you get inside the box you will kill your warranty. So I would call Tesoro and see if you can send it back for the change. You could trade or sale and get you a Tejon, it has a tone control knob on the front panel.

Good luck,

Ron In WV

It's done by changing an IC chip from what I understand, a combination of resistors and capacitors inside the chip are of different values.
That's why it's a quick mod from Tesoro for $15.00.
