when pinpointing with x 70 stock coil where is the hot spot on the coil for pin pointing i need help with this so ican learn to pinpoint more accurate thank s for any info

Push the pp button. Then scan all the way across the target. Your detector will detune the target automatically. Then simply X the target. Then your target is in the center of the coil. Do pay any mind to the visual pinpointing horse shoe. Use just your ears to find the highest tone while Xing the target.

Practice makes perfect, well maybe better.

I think the art of pinpointing is in seeing the spot on the ground where the signal is strongest. If need be, before digging drop a plastic button on the spot you think is the target and repeating the pinpoint to see if you have the spot right.

You can use the pinpoint mode or just X over the target from several directions or do both.

A big spade works while you are learning.

I agree with Kenny. Also lifting your coil a smidgen help to shrink the pinpoint as well. You can also use the 12 o'clock position of the inner coil to locate your target (when in pinpoint). The signal drops off at this point. Very accurate.
