one ya want to dig....only have had my xs a week..pinpointing is fine for me,unless like today i had several junk items in the and around the hole i was diggin...sooooo...scince pinpoint is all metal. the only thing that i can come up with is to use the front of the coil in whatever setting that i am in at the time and hit the target from one side, then go to the other side and tone it from the front of the coil..keepin close eye on where my hit is...just wondering if thats about all i can do in such a case or am i missing something here.....thanks..HH

What I do in cases like that is to find the center of the good target while in iron mask in two directions then dig down to where it's supposed to be and drop in the X-1 probe to pinpoint it. Has worked everytime I've tried it. If you have the X-1 give that a try. I'm still a newbie and there may be a better way so pay attention to what the pro's suggest.

you could use a periscope probe & you will know exactly where and how much to dig!
