Pinpointing with QD2

Does anyone know of a inline pinpointing probe for the QD2? I have a bounty hunter pinpointer, but was thinking if a inline pointer was available for the QD2.:wiggle:

haha, sorry i could'nt resist. (just a late model concoction i created and discontinued). I have never heard of an aftermarket inline probe for BH's but i could be wrong. Unfortunately, if they did make one, it would probably cost more than your BH. I have never used the BH handheld pinpointer. I have used a white's bullseye handheld and cant think of much good to say about them. I really like my old Automax handheld pinpointer. Very durable and get good detection depth from probe. These are often sold in package deals with new detectors, but many prefer the inline probe or already have a few, so they will turn around and sell these right after receiving their new machine. It's not hard to find one under $40. GL & HH, JJ

I have a sherlock DTS/PRO pinpointer whic works pretty good for the price like 50(USD). i hear the Garret one is good but pricey ($127 USD). BRAND MATTERS NOT ITS REAL PERFORMANCE THAT COUNTS TO ME.

The Quick Draw II my wife bought me for Christmas claimed to include a hand held pin pointer in the box, but it wasn't included. :( Unfortunately she doesn't have a receipt anymore(just opened the box this week) and the store hassled me until I just left. I just contacted BH though and I am sure they will solve the problem.

Update, the wonderful lady from Bounty Hunter was happy to send me the missing pinpointer. By far the best customer service I have seen in years. Thank you Bounty Hunter!

I have 2 questions . 1. my qd2 seems to pick up the legs on the playground equipment when I get about 12 inches from it . Is this normal ? 2.went to look at harbor freight for there pin pointer. the one they showed me was square and yellow didn't look like a pin pointer to me

I have the New Garrett Pro-Pointer. I think it's awesome and probably the best invention since the cordless drill (really handy). In all the time I have been tectin I never saw the need for one then I got this one from Kellyco free with my new machine and I love it! But you are right Samuel, they are pricey if I was to buy one.

Bossman, the one you want from Harbor Freight is from Cen-Tech. It is called a Hand Held Metal Detector (Cen-Tech item # 97245) It is rectangular with a long probe extending from one end. It has a sensitivity adjustment knob on one side next to the probe and an led light on the othe side of the probe. A red on off button is located on the side of the rectangular housing. It comes with a "holster" and 9V battery for about $15.00. I think I saw the one they showed you and that is not what you want. When you see the correct one I described above you will recognize it as the type of pinpointer that you want. They sell them to construction workers to help locate nails and staples imbedded in wood. But it works great as a metal detectorists best friend as well. Our local Harbor Freight doesn't always have them in stock.
Hope this helps. Good luck and Happy Hunting.
