I know I saw this subject here some place but can't seem to fined it How do you pinpoint an object with your DD coil.dose it pinpoint in the middle of the coil or the tip of the coil.

I pinpoint with the tip. I pass the coil left and right until I get the loudest audio and lowest depth reading and then pull it back towards me until it goes silent. The tip is over the target. Rob

Hi, I found this a while back and it gives you an idea as how to do it. I hope it helps. HH Dennis in Idaho

Great example,:clapping: very nice job explaining how to pin point with the 6X10DD, I find my 6X10DD to pin point the exact same way. Also if you move the coil back forward slowly to the loudest VCO volume point, keeping the target centered with the wiggle method, the target will be dead center of the coil just in front of the rod attachment.

Great Job,:detecting:

I don't know who posted the illustration, but it was how I learned to pinpoint. I wish I knew who did it so I could thank him. I downloaded it as pass it on to others so they can learn by it to. HH Dennis in Idaho
