Pinpointing Question In Fresh Water

Hey guys was wondering if you guys have any pointers on pinpointing in the lake when you can't see your coil. I have a garret pin pointer but the one I have is not water proof.
Thanks in advance. I'm using the nox 600.

You will learn to use your feet to help. With DD coils, use the coil tip or heel to find where the target disappears. What I normally do is find that spot, and then keep my foot on that spot. I will take my scoop and then start behind where my foot is and then scoop into it. I can normally scoop the target up the first time unless it is deep or small, in which case it falls thru the scoop holes and I end up chasing it around everywhere. This happens a lot with the Nox...especially chasing the lower digit numbers.

Wrap some pieces of white duct around the coil spokes closest to the center of the coil..after the coil is out of warranty just spray paint it white..

Or maybe a short piece of luminous tape from Amazon and other stores?

Once you hit the target....wiggle the coil back toward you till it becomes weak or disappear s...it’s then on the tip. Toe at the back of the coil ...move coil and take a dig.
