pinpointing idx pro

does anyone have any advice on pinponting with the idx pro? is there any way to detune it like the old machines? i just get alot of noise when i try with the toggle

With the stock coil a coin size target with beep inside the center hole mostly. You X it a number of times and dig a plug 4" wide most of the time you will have your target. Iron that is fooling the discriminator usally gives off a pop or a loud hit. Deep soda cans can seem like the perfect coin too. Pinpointing can be done in the Discrimination mode and in the all metal mode. if you toggle back and forth and you find the target changes in size 30%+ than you might assume its junk, accepted coins won't do this. dig any ID'd target.

You should be able to detune it by releasing and pulling the trigger right over the object, this usually narrows down to just the target.
Good luck

Greg
