Pinpointing Excalibur 2 with 10 Coil

grego

New member
Hi, I am new to metal detecting. Have hard time pinpointing Excalibur 2 with 10 coil. Also Is there a way to separate pool-tab and gold signal? Seems to me same. Thank you, Greg.

Hi grego!

The best way to pinpoint a target is to back up swinging SLOWLY until you lose the signal, then, go forward until you just get a signal. the target should be below the leading edge of coil.
I would reccomend you read the books by Clive Clynick. I just ordered them and got them in just a few days from Canada to Florida. I have already learned a ton from these books.

Hello grego, like Jerry said, "read Clive's books", but trying to, "separate a pull-tab and gold signal", is not a good idea. You need to be digging ALL repeatable signals in the water or wetsand, even if they are nasty sounding. Set the Discrimination on 1 and leave it there and dig it all. Consider this.......you are on vacation from iron. It will save you a TON of time out there. Best of luck to ya mate!

Just a note to say that my site it not at clivesgoldpage.com. but at
