What pinpointer that is under $150 is the most waterproof. For waterlines to about 5 or 6 inches deep. More would be great! I would also like it to be silent at times and saw some that had not option. Thanks so much Coulee

I've used a Garrett Pro Pointer in shallow water from time to time. I actually dipped one in liquid rubber all the way up past the on/off button. A little silicone grease on the rear seal and it hasn't failed yet :detecting:.

I have both the Garrett and the Minelab and its Garrett hands down for depth. I've used it in up to ankle water and have electrical tape wrapped around the speaker to quiet that mother down(and it provides more waterproofing, i guess). But remember that Garretts and Minelabs arent waterproof, just water resistant.

Hi there, sounds like you need a vibra pro 580. It's water proof, works on vibration and has a tilt on off switch. I am saing up for one, I've got a pro pointer ATM, its good on land, but the vibra pro is fully waterproof. Hope this helps, good luck, water wizard

I have a Garrett PP, I use mine under water, I seal in a foodsaver bag like I do my steaks or anything else I freeze...... test your foodsaver with something like toilet paper in the test bag.........if it doesn't get wet.......go for it.......k

I've had the Treasure Products Vibra Probe 580 for a couple of weeks now and its great in the water.

Waterproof to 100 feet.

When I've been looking for targets in the mud and sticks under a couple of feet of water I just stab it into the mud and move it till I find the target then I just run my hand to the end and grab my find, awesome where scoops arnt the best bet.

It also works in salt water and black sand environments, hard to top that IMHO.

cheers nodds HH

That is the one i am going to try.All three of there pointers look great! I like the vibratector with the coil, that thing looks handy.I would rather have a silent pointer anyway.I get in the woods with a screaming pointer and all the predator animals come running my way thinking i am hurt pray or something. No thanks,i'm the silent type, stealth all the way.The vibra stuff looks cool to me. :-D
